Role Description The Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent is a contract, remote role focused on helping individuals and families select appropriate life and health insurance coverage. Day-to-day responsibilities include contacting prospective clients, conducting virtual consultations, assessing coverage needs, and presenting tailored insurance options. The agent will explain policy features and benefits, complete applications, and support clients through underwriting and policy issuance. Ongoing duties include maintaining relationships with existing policyholders, providing policy reviews, handling questions, and adhering to regulatory and company compliance standards. The role also involves meeting production goals, maintaining accurate records, and participating in virtual trainings and meetings. Qualifications Active Life and Health Insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe) and knowledge of basic insurance principles. Strong client service and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse clients. Sales and consultative skills, such as prospecting, needs-based selling, and closing, with a focus on ethical and compliant practices. Remote work capabilities, including reliable internet access, proficiency with virtual meeting tools, and strong time management and self-organization. Attention to detail and administrative skills for accurate documentation, policy applications, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Comfort working with performance targets and willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development. Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required.
