Accountabilities
The Associate Site Manager will be responsible for managing assigned clinical trial sites through all phases of study execution, ensuring compliance, quality, and successful delivery of trial objectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clinical trial sites and maintain strong relationships with investigators, coordinators, and study teams. Support site selection, initiation, maintenance, and close-out activities across Phase 1-4 clinical trials. Conduct on-site and remote monitoring visits in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory requirements, and internal operating procedures. Perform source document verification, Investigator Site File reviews, drug accountability checks, and other monitoring activities to ensure data integrity and compliance. Support patient recruitment strategies and collaborate with sites to help achieve enrollment goals and study timelines. Provide training and ongoing guidance to site staff on protocols, systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify, manage, and escalate site-specific issues while partnering with investigators and internal teams to drive timely resolutions. Maintain accurate clinical trial documentation, including updates to clinical trial management systems and electronic trial master files. Collaborate with local and global clinical operations teams to support study execution and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical research operations, strong knowledge of clinical trial regulations, and the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related scientific field, or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 1 year of experience in on-site and remote clinical trial monitoring or related clinical research activities. Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research environments is preferred. Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and local regulatory requirements. Experience with clinical trial systems and databases such as CTMS, EDC, TMF, IWRS, safety reporting platforms, and study dashboards. Knowledge of risk-based monitoring approaches and clinical trial quality practices is highly preferred. Ability to manage site relationships effectively through strong communication, organization, and influencing skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a field-based role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. Fluent English communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain a professional home office environment. Willingness to travel approximately 30-50% for site visits, primarily within the assigned region.
