Role Description This full-time, on-site Home and Auto Insurance Producer role is based in the Kanata, Ontario Area. The individual in this role will actively prospect, qualify, and close home and auto insurance business, providing personalized advice and solutions that meet clients’ coverage needs and financial goals. Day-to-day tasks include assessing risk, preparing quotes, explaining policy features and options, processing applications, and supporting policy changes and renewals. The Insurance Producer will respond to client inquiries, manage client portfolios, and ensure a positive service experience through timely follow-up and ongoing relationship management. This role also involves collaborating with team members, staying current with company products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and identifying opportunities to refer clients to other Co-operators products and services.
Qualifications
Outgoing and customer centric personality is a must. You must be motivated to provide service that exceeds clients expectations, while effectively winning new client opportunities. An active OTL License or RIBO license is preferred. Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance to effectively assess risk, recommend appropriate coverage, and grow a quality book of business. Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, explain complex information clearly, and deliver a consistent, client-centered experience. Candidates should possess knowledge of Employee Benefits to identify cross-selling opportunities and support clients with broader protection and financial security solutions. Relevant qualifications include completion or eligibility for provincial insurance licensing, with a strong understanding of home and auto insurance products and regulatory requirements. Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in financial services or brokerage environments, proficiency with CRM and policy management systems, and demonstrated ability to meet sales targets ethically and sustainably. Ability to work collaboratively in an office setting, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ongoing professional development are highly valued.
