The Port Hope and District Chamber of Commerce held their 3rd Annual Excellence in Business awards on January 21st. At the gala dinner and annual meeting, Norpak Handling was honored with the Excellence in Medium Business Award. The evening honours business’ that demonstrate excellence in such areas as customer service, business philosophy, community involvement, employee training, technical innovation and safety programs.
Since receiving their award for Excellence in Small Business in January 1998, Norpak Handling has once again appeared on the Profit Magazine’s List of the Top 100 fastest growing companies in Canada. They have also continued to expand their operations. In the fall of ’98, Norpak enlarged the Port Hope shop facilities. As well, they opened sales offices in both Montreal and Vancouver during the winter of ’99.
