Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Farm Equipment Operator to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient farm operations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, irrigation, along with the ability to perform maintenance tasks and handle heavy equipment safely. The Farm Equipment Operator plays a vital role in supporting the productivity and sustainability of our farm.

Duties

• Operate a variety of farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and other heavy equipment with precision and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance supplies.
• Use basic math skills to measure inputs, calibrate equipment, and manage inventory levels.
• Conduct heavy lifting of supplies, equipment parts, or harvested crops as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor crop health and report any issues related to pests, diseases, or equipment malfunction.

Experience

• Prior experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to farm equipment maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping are required.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly and operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
• Previous experience working in an agricultural setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate committed to learning.
• D License is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
