About the role
About LYNXEL Crop Protection
LYNXEL Crop Protection is a Saskatchewan-focused crop protection business launching from Regina. We are building a focused portfolio of compliant crop protection products, with an emphasis on dependable seasonal availability, practical service, and long-term relationships with farmers.
Our initial market focus is Regina and the surrounding farming communities in Southern Saskatchewan, with plans to expand the territory gradually as the business develops.
The Role
We are seeking a Crop Protection Sales Representative to help develop customer relationships and grow LYNXEL’s presence in the Regina area and surrounding agricultural communities.
This is a home-based field sales position. The successful candidate should be based in Regina or within reasonable travelling distance and will regularly visit farms, meet growers, attend local agricultural events, and develop business throughout the assigned territory. This is not a desk-only remote position.
Key Responsibilities
*Build and maintain trusted relationships with farmers and growers in the Regina area and surrounding communities.
*Develop new customer relationships through farm visits, referrals, local contacts, and agricultural events.
*Understand growers’ seasonal crop protection needs and present appropriate product options. *Follow up on product inquiries, quotations, orders, and customer requirements.
*Provide basic, label-aligned product information and recognize when agronomic or technical questions should be referred for additional support.
*Gather local market information and support seasonal product and demand planning.
*Maintain accurate customer, sales, and territory records.
*Represent LYNXEL professionally within the local agricultural community.
What We Are Looking For
*Previous sales experience in crop protection is strongly preferred.
*Relevant experience selling seed, fertilizer, or other agricultural inputs will also be considered.
*Candidates with strong existing relationships with farmers in the Regina area or Southern Saskatchewan are encouraged to apply.
*Experience working directly with farmers and managing long-term customer relationships.
*Strong communication, follow-up, and territory-development skills.
*Ability to work independently in a home-based and field-sales environment.
*Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly for farm and customer visits.
*Familiarity with Regina-area and Southern Saskatchewan farming practices.
Strong Assets
*An established network of local farmers, growers, or agricultural contacts.
*Practical knowledge of crop protection products, product labels, application timing, and common weed, disease, or insect issues.
*The ability to explain basic product information clearly and recognize when more specialized agronomic support is required.
*Education or experience in agronomy, agriculture, crop science, or agribusiness.
*Experience using CRM or other customer and sales-tracking tools.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a growing Saskatchewan crop protection business at an early stage and play an important role in developing customer relationships, the local sales territory, and LYNXEL’s presence in the Regina-area agricultural market.
