**Position Summary **
The Early Childhood Educator (TOC) plays a vital role in creating a nurturing and developmentally enriching environment that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. You will step into our classrooms to implement our Montessori-inspired curriculum and maintain a safe, warm, and inclusive environment.
This is a casual, on-call position for the duration of the school year, from September through to June, for an 8.5-hour day sometime between 8:00 am and 5:15 pm.
TOCs will be contacted as needed, either being pre-scheduled in advance or contacted the morning of the shift.
Success Factors
- Certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and a valid BC license to practice.
- Montessori Training would be considered an asset
- Past experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or similar setting.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Clearance of a Criminal Record Check.
- Experience in an Independent School would be an asset.
- Computer Skills: Google Classroom, docs, sheets, slides, and Gmail.
- Ability to understand the importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in building trust and contributing to a positive working atmosphere across the School community.
- Known to communicate, negotiate, collaborate, and build partnerships effectively.
