About the role
Job Summary Provide accurate and efficient checkout and payment processing while delivering friendly customer service. Maintain orderly checkout areas and follow store procedures to support daily operations. Number of Positions 8 Main Duties Process customer purchases using cash registers and point-of-sale systems, accepting cash, debit, credit, and other payment methods. Scan, bag and verify merchandise for accuracy and correct pricing. Balance cash drawer, perform end-of-shift reconciliation, and prepare transaction reports. Assist customers with inquiries, returns, exchanges, and basic product information in a professional manner. Adhere to store policies for refunds, loss prevention, and inventory control procedures. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock supplies, and report damaged or missing items. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating cash registers or point-of-sale systems is an asset. Basic numeracy and accurate cash-handling skills. Good verbal communication skills in English and/or French as required by the location. Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift small items safely. Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
