Job Description
Key Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will
Plan and deliver engaging, child-centered programs for children ages 4–12 Provide safe, quality care and support to children and families Maintain supervision and ensure child safety at all times Follow YMCA policies, municipal regulations, and CCEYA requirements Foster inclusive, welcoming environments where every child feels they belong Demonstrate YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Inclusivity
Schedule
Monday to Friday, following the school calendar. Varies by location Weekly shift schedules will depend on program needs candidate availability Morning shifts: 7:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Afternoon shifts: 2:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Additional full-day shifts may be available on PD Days and school breaks

Experience Required
Preferred Experience & Education
Experience working with children ages 4–12 in employment, volunteer, or placement settings Current enrollment in, or completion of, Early Childhood Education or a related field RECE candidates must be registered (or in the process of registering) with the College of Early Childhood Educators and be in good standing Candidates from related disciplines must maintain membership with their professional associations where applicable
Required Certifications & Requirements
Minimum 18 years of age Passionate about working in a social, child-focused environment Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification (or proof of scheduled training within 3 months of hire) Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months) Up-to-date immunizations as required by Public Health, the Ministry of Education, and the YMCA Ability to perform light to medium physical activity, including lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.) Support up to six (6) Family of Schools Legally entitled to work in Canada

Compensation And Benefits
Compensation is based on region, qualifications, and contract requirements.
Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE): Up to $27.00/hour (including government wage enhancements) Non-Member Candidates: Up to $22.00/hour (including government wage enhancements)
