Khalsa School Old Yale road is seeking Physical & Health Education teachers for Grade 3-5.
Khalsa School Old Yale Road provides quality education to over 900 students in British Columbia’s fastest-growing community. Serving a diverse and multicultural society, we are a progressive school campus offering a broad range of innovative programs and services to support the learning of our students and staff in the school campus.
Currently, we have 1 opening for the new 2026-2027 school year starting September 1, 2026. We recognize North American teaching experience. Please indicate in your resume and cover letter. Successful candidates will be teaching the BC's New Curriculum and supporting learners.
Position 1: Physical & Health.Education Teacher ( Grade 3-5 )
Start Date: September 1, 2026
Salary: $6600 per month
We are seeking candidates who have the below qualifications:
- Bachelors of Education
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate (Coach/Athlete with SR or COQ). Special attention will be given to applicants who are certified to or can be certified to teach in British Columbia.
- You must be eligible to be employed in Canada.
- Preferable: Teaching experience within Canada
- Ability to work full time
- Demonstrated knowledge of the BC Curriculum
- Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including the needs and abilities of students required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents required
- Excellent communication skills in the English language, both oral and written required

Khalsa School is a Sikh school and a part of the student’s education at our schoolsincludes education in the Sikh Faith (Sikh music, history, scriptures). These subjects are taught by our religious department and staff. Successful applicants will only be required to teach the BC Curriculum in English. Interviews will commence as resumes are received.
