Nishan Transport Inc is continuously expanding and looking for drivers and transportation professionals to join its team. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Montreal, QC. The Truck Driver will safely operate company trucks to transport LTL and FTL freight between designated terminals and customer locations, following assigned routes and schedules. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and monitoring cargo, and completing required documentation such as logs and delivery records. The role involves loading and unloading freight when required, communicating effectively with dispatch and customers, and complying with company policies and all applicable transportation regulations. The Truck Driver is expected to support Nishan Transport Inc’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent appropriate commercial driver’s license) and strong Truck Driving experience. Ability to safely operate and maneuver a Truck and related equipment under various road and weather conditions. Knowledge of DOT Regulations and other applicable transportation and safety standards. Experience with loading, securing, and Unloading freight in a safe and efficient manner. Clean driving record and the ability to pass required background checks and drug/alcohol testing. Strong attention to safety, time management, and route planning skills. Ability to read and complete shipping documents, logs, and electronic logging devices (ELDs). Physical ability to handle freight, climb in and out of trucks, and perform inspections. Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach. Previous experience in LTL/FTL operations or cross-border trucking is an asset.
