Pinchin is seeking a skilled Civil 3D Junior Designer to join our Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation in GTA/remote in Canada. The role reports to Director.
Role Overview
The Civil 3D Junior Designer supports Pinchin’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation (EDR) team by assisting with the preparation of Civil 3D models and drawings for environmental and infrastructure projects. Working under the guidance of senior designers and project teams, this role focuses on developing technical skills, applying CAD standards, and supporting coordinated project deliverables. The position offers hands‑on exposure to multidisciplinary projects while contributing to organized, accurate, and high‑quality design outputs.
Your role and action

Prepare, develop, and maintain Civil 3D models, drawings, and design surfaces for infrastructure, environmental, and land development projects.

Create and manage alignments, profiles, corridors, pipe networks, grading, and surfaces in Civil 3D.

Coordinate CAD standards, templates, styles, and best practices across EDR team and related disciplines.

Act as a technical point of contact for Civil 3D workflows, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Support integration between Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS, and survey data (including surfaces, points, and control).

Coordinate design updates, revisions, and version control with project managers and designers.

Collaborate with Central Graphics Team (CGT), GIS, survey, and engineering teams to ensure data consistency and workflow alignment.

Assist with project setup, drawing organization, naming conventions, and file management.

Contribute to continuous improvement of design workflows, automation, and efficiency.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin

You bring a positive, collaborative attitude, strong attention to detail, and an interest in learning best practices within a consulting environment. You are comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and supporting the delivery of accurate, well‑organized design drawings and models.

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.

Knowledge of Civil 3D objects, styles, data shortcuts, and reference management.

Solid understanding of survey data, coordinate systems, and surface creation.

Familiarity with integrating GIS data into Civil 3D workflows is an asset.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and quality control skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in a consulting or project-based environment would be an asset.

Valid driver’s license and ability to attend project sites as required.
