What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s team, the Consultant, Application Development is responsible for the detailed technical design and development of applications using various technology platforms. The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended solutions. The Consultant, Application Development determines methods and approaches to projects, transforming business requirements specifications into programming instructions, designing, coding and testing programs. In addition, the role plays a key role in the development and implementation of database management solutions, supporting the company’s backup plans. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day to day tasks, exercising considerable latitude to conduct data source analysis and negotiate with users regarding requirements.

How you'll succeed
- Programming Skills - Develop, code and test end-to-end stack of applications. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Systems Implementation - Participate and conduct technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Skills– Work closely with key business and technology partners to ensure that business and client impact issues are well understood and addressed. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies are maintained in all aspects of the application management. Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects
- Relationship Management - Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors and peers. Lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure problems/issues are identified and resolved. Express oneself and communicate with others verbally at an advanced level; recognizing that verbal communication is more than just language - it includes tone, style and structure.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate experience in: 3-4 years of Experience in successful deployments of RSA Archer v6.5 and higher. Prior experience as an Archer developer/administrator in a large organization, preferably a large bank. Experience with implementing custom RSA Archer configurations; mainly IT Risk Management and Third Party Risk Management use cases. Experience integrating data feeds into RSA Archer and Data Imports using HTTP, db, file and JavaScript transporters.
- You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.
