Position Overview:
The Director, Ecommerce Merchandising is responsible for driving commercial performance through best‑in‑class digital merchandising strategies across the Ecommerce channel. This role owns the end‑to‑end onsite merchandising experience, with a focus on maximizing conversion, customer engagement, UPT, and lifetime value. As a senior leader, the role partners closely with Marketing, Product, Planning, Digital Experience, and Regional teams to deliver a cohesive, high‑impact customer journey.
What You'll Do:
Merchandising Strategy & Commercial Ownership
- Define and execute a Global Ecommerce merchandising strategy aligned to product, commercial, and growth objectives
- Own onsite performance KPIs including conversion rate, AOV, UPT, sell-through, and revenue contribution
- Translate seasonal and commercial priorities into clear onsite strategies across homepage, PLP, PDP, and campaigns
- Through strong collaboration with Merchandising and Planning, manage on‑hand inventory to ensure alignment with Ecommerce demand, enabling optimal availability, minimizing missed demand, and maximizing revenue contribution against commercial expectations
Onsite Experience & Presentation
- Lead digital presentation standards across categories and collections
- Oversee taxonomy, navigation, search, and product discoverability to drive ease of shopping and clarity
- Elevate the merchandising experience to align with and uphold brand standards across all touchpoints
- Ensure content, imagery, and product sequencing reflect customer intent
Launches & Trading
- Partner with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing and Digital Content to execute campaigns, product launches, and peak trading moments
- Drive agile trading decisions based on real-time performance, inventory availability, and customer signals
- Accelerate category growth through strategic merchandising decisions
- Optimize end-of-life strategies to balance brand integrity and sell-through
Analytics & Optimization
- Apply data-driven insights to shape content and merchandising strategies, reflecting customer engagement patterns and future purchase intent
- Use data and analytics to enable a test-and-learn approach that continuously optimizes performance
- Partner with Analytics and CRO teams to prioritize experiments that unlock commercial upside
- Establish insights-driven frameworks for product placement, cross-sell, and personalization opportunities
Global & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Set global merchandising standards and best practices while enabling regional relevance and localization
- Drive best‑in‑class online merchandising through scalable processes and a team culture focused on continuous improvement and launch‑over‑launch performance gains
- Lead and develop a high-performing Ecommerce merchandising team
- Act as a key stakeholder in digital transformation initiatives
Let's Talk About You:
- 8–12+ years of experience in Ecommerce merchandising, digital retail, or online trading, ideally within premium or luxury retail
- Proven track record of driving commercial growth through onsite merchandising optimization
- Strong understanding of customer journeys, digital best practices, and omnichannel commerce
- Highly analytical with experience leveraging data to influence strategy and execution
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable operating at executive level

- Ecommerce revenue growth and contribution
- Conversion rate, AOV, and UPT improvement
- Sell-through and inventory productivity
- Customer engagement and repeat purchase behavior
- Speed and effectiveness of campaign and launch execution

Salary Range:
$145,000.00 - $181,000.00 / year
