About the role
Type of position: Regular
Your future role on our team:
As a member of our Mechanical and Piping Engineering team, you’ll assist with studies for major projects in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be based at our Toronto office, but you may be required to take short trips to our other offices. As part of our growing Toronto office, you’ll join a fun and collaborative team that works together to deliver fast-paced projects. We’re looking for someone who is eager to support team growth, coaching and advance their career with BBA while enjoying an engaging and supportive work environment.
With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...
- Participate in preparing plans and specifications based on guidelines
- Under supervision, carry out the 3D design of piping, equipment and mechanical layouts for all components
- Work with point clouds (3D scanning)
- Coordinate equipment layout with other disciplines, such as the Structural Engineering
- Produce isometric drawings of pipelines
- Produce 2D drawings of equipment developed in design and general layouts
- Prepare 2D drawings with full detailing (dimensions, labels, text and notes)
- Participate in technical site surveys
- Ensure the quality of deliverables produced

Overview of certifications and job requirements:
- College diploma in mechanical engineering technology
- From 0 to 2 years of experience as a mechanical technician
- Available for short-term work assignments outside the office
- Asset: Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Valid driver’s license
- Asset: experience in the mining or oil & gas sectors
An overview of BBA’s Total Reward:
- Annual base salary, based on 40 hours weekly, between $53,300 and $65,200
