Role Description The Freelance Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role is responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport mobile production units and equipment to and from broadcast venues, studios, and event locations. Day-to-day tasks include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and securing equipment, following scheduled routes and timelines, and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. The driver coordinates with operations and production teams to ensure timely arrivals, assists with positioning vehicles at event sites, and supports basic logistical needs related to equipment delivery and pickup. The role also involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate team for follow-up. Qualifications

Strong truck operation experience, including Truck Driving skills and familiarity with production or commercial Truck environments. Valid CDL Class AZ or class 1 with a clean driving record and experience driving large vehicles (must have verifiable 10 years commercial driving experience). Effective Communication skills for coordinating with scheduling, production staff, and venue personnel. Customer Service mindset, with the ability to represent Dome Productions professionally when interacting with clients and partners. Knowledge of relevant road safety regulations, schedule 1, hours-of-service rules, and best practices for transporting sensitive technical equipment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on live event schedules. Reliable time management and organizational skills, with a focus on punctuality and meeting tight event timelines. Physical ability to assist with loading, unloading, and securing equipment, and to work in varying weather conditions. Previous experience in live events, broadcast production, or logistics is an asset. North American mountain driving experience.
