Information Technology Support Specialist
About the role
We are seeking an individual with experience in a helpdesk environment providing support for all things IT including desktop, mobile and network devices. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience using/troubleshooting a wide variety of hardware and software and be able to grasp new concepts quickly.
You will be the primary person responsible for supporting local and remote end-users with problem reporting, identification, and resolution. You will be responsible for providing Level 1 support to our end-users and help with onboarding/training as needed.
Responsibilities will include: Providing on-site support at all Southwestern Ontario area offices (Oakville, ON); Setting up new PC/MAC workstations, printers and other peripherals; Diagnosing and supporting all client applications Troubleshooting PC/MAC hardware and operating system software in a corporate environment; Troubleshooting low voltage equipment such as Access Control, Intercom and DVR systems Troubleshooting all support calls from a ticket queue submitted by end-users Support of wireless telecom devices including user support, hardware provisioning (IOS, Android) Creating documentation and/or revising training manuals; Maintaining asset tracking; Assisting with projects as required; Repairing and/or coordinating repair of hardware devices.
Qualifications Experience with Low Voltage devices Experience with all variations of Windows, MAC and Mobile OS Thorough understanding of IP networking Outstanding people skills and customer service skills orientation Able to handle rapidly changing priorities, high visibility-high stress situations Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills Excellent research skills
Good to have: Experience with Cloud Computing concepts Microsoft or other industry recognized training and/or certification (e.g. A+)
Assets and Additional Information You will be required to own a reliable vehicle as this is a Monday-Friday in-office position Off-site travel will be required and mileage reimbursed Corporate hours are 8:30am-5pm and you will be required to be on-call

The approximate salary range for this role is $60,000–$65,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, educational attainment, professional designations, internal equity, and other job-related requirements.
