The Opportunity

Shape the Future of Energy Systems – Join WSP’s Overhead Transmission Lines team in Toronto and help design medium to extra-high voltage transmission lines, structures, and foundations that keep communities connected and powered. This role offers hands-on experience in power delivery and the chance to work on impactful projects across Canada and the US, supported by coaching and training to advance your career.

Your Impact

Support the design and delivery of transmission line projects, studies, and initiatives across Canada and the US. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for power delivery systems. Prepare technical drawings, models, reports, and calculations that influence project decisions. Apply engineering principles to real-world challenges in energy infrastructure and sustainability. Contribute to project reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and WSP quality expectations.

The Skills That Set You Apart

Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related discipline. Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Strong interest in consulting engineering and the power delivery industry. Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD or other design/analysis software. Previous engineering design or drafting experience, ideally in civil or electrical engineering. Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Legally authorized to work permanently in Canada without sponsorship.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $66,700 – $88,400

MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $60,300 – $80,000

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
