About the role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Superintendent plays a key role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the Kiena mine. This individual ensures the integrity of accounting processes, regulatory compliance, and the accuracy of financial reporting.
As a leader, you will oversee general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, as well as the team responsible for financial planning and forecasting. You will also actively contribute to internal control initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Accounting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting operations (closing entries, reconciliations).
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Produce financial reports for management and governing bodies.
- Collaborate with external and internal auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations (Revenu Québec and CRA).
Financial Planning and Performance
- Oversee the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of financial forecasts.
- Support operational teams in analyzing results.
- Participate in the improvement of internal controls.
Systems and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure the integrity of financial data within SAP.
- Participate in the optimization of financial systems.
- Contribute to special projects (grants, tax credits, etc.).
- Continuously improve financial processes.
- Perform any other related duties associated with the position.

Profile Sought
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
- Strong leadership, rigor, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership, ability to develop talent, and strong team spirit.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and critical thinking in financial data analysis.
Salary: $150,000 and more per year, with additional bonus
Schedule: Day shift, 40 hours per week
