YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY
This new role will be tasked with crafting messages for both internal and external audiences through multiple channels. The Brand & Communications Intern will play a role in enhancing our brand presence and assisting with our communication strategies to ensure they align with both our departmental and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop a content calendar to plan and organize social content across channels;
- Draft social media content across our various channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube);
- Assist with creating/editing presentations and documents to effectively communicate key messages to both internal and external stakeholders;
- Create graphics, templates, and various documentation in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, and Canva;
- Organize and maintain photo libraries and marketing materials to ensure easy access and consistency across brand assets;
- Assist in the creation of signage and event materials for both internal and external events.
- Assist with compiling information and resources for proposals and award submissions, including creating and updating corporate resumes;
- Draft and edit internal stories, memos, announcements, and e-mail campaigns;
- Participate in the development of corporate communications initiatives;
- Support with ensuring our employer brand is consistent across all internal and external channels;
- Conduct research to gain insight into market trends, and industry developments to align effective communication strategies;
- Participate in brainstorms, ideation sessions, and brand management.
Skills & Expereince
- Currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field, or recent graduate;
- Strong communication; confidence and ability to communicate with all levels of management;
- A strong work ethic - eager to learn, resourceful, and committed;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills;
- Expert proficiency in MS Office Programs, specifically PowerPoint and Word;
- Experience with design programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign), Canva, or others;
- Experience with email campaign software (i.e., ActiveCampaign, MailChimp, Marketo), survey systems (i.e., Microsoft Forms), and content management systems (i.e., SharePoint) will be considered assets.

The hourly wage range for this role is $20-25/hour, adjusted for experience. During the interview process, let’s talk to get the right fit for your experience level.
