Position Summary
The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the oversight of all front office and concierge operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest service and the seamless execution of arrivals, departures, and guest interactions. This role assists in leading the front office and concierge teams, supporting daily operations, and coordinating with internal departments to provide efficient, personalized, and memorable guest experiences. The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a key role in maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and ensuring operational consistency while enhancing the overall guest journey from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
- Support all guest interactions across Front Desk and Concierge, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience from arrival to departure
- Assist in resolving escalated guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring effective service recovery
- Support the execution of VIP arrivals, special requests, and guest preferences in line with Cabot’s luxury service standards Operations & Department Oversight
- Assist in overseeing daily Front Office and Concierge operations, including arrivals, departures, reservations, and guest services
- Support accuracy and efficiency of PMS systems, billing, and cash handling procedures
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of front-of-house areas including lobby and reception spaces Team Leadership
- Support the leadership, coaching, and development of Front Desk and Concierge teams
- Assist with training, onboarding, and performance management to uphold brand standards
- Reinforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and service expectations Administrative & Reporting
- Assist in monitoring daily reports including occupancy, arrivals/departures, and guest feedback
- Support scheduling, staffing levels, and payroll coordination
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and communication for operational handover and leadership review Qualifications
- Previous experience in front office, guest services, or concierge roles within a hotel or resort environment, with a strong understanding of luxury service standards
- Proven experience overseeing front desk operations, including arrivals, departures, reservations, and guest service delivery
- Experience creating personalized itineraries, coordinating guest activities, and managing concierge services or partnerships
- Strong background in handling guest concerns, service recovery, and high-touch guest interactions
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team supervision, training, and performance management
- Proficiency with hotel systems (PMS), cash handling procedures, and front office operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Skills & Competencies
