Role Description The Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Rosemere, QC. In this position, the Pharmacist provides safe and accurate dispensing of medications, verifies prescriptions, and offers professional counseling to patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medication profiles, coordinating refills, answering health-related questions, and liaising with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. The Pharmacist also supports medication therapy management, oversees pharmacy assistants and technicians, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company standards. Additional tasks involve maintaining inventory, upholding quality and safety protocols, and contributing to a welcoming, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications
Strong clinical pharmacy skills, including prescription interpretation, medication dispensing, and patient counseling. Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical care best practices. Ability to maintain regulatory compliance, including adherence to provincial pharmacy legislation, standards of practice, and privacy regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple prescriptions, clinical tasks, and documentation accurately. Comfort using pharmacy management software, electronic health records, and relevant digital tools. Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Pharmacist with the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec. Fluency in French; proficiency in English is an asset to serve a diverse patient population. Previous community or retail pharmacy experience is preferred, particularly in a high-volume or patient-centered environment. Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and delivering compassionate, inclusive care.
