About the role
The following temporary position is open for applications:
GROUNDSPERSON** **
Location:** Pemberton/Whistler **** Areas, based out of Whistler Secondary School**
Temporary**:**** Immediately to September 4 , 2026, or return of the Incumbent, whichever occurs first**
Hours:** ****8**hours per day,12months per year
Rate of Pay:** $ **28.84per hour
** Duties & Responsibilities: **
Under the direction of the Manager: Transportation & Grounds and with the general direction of the Director of Facilities & Services, maintains safe, clean and presentable playing fields, lawns, School District property, playground equipment and fences.
**Qualifications: **
- Completion of Grade 11 and over three (3) months up to and including six (6) months related grounds keeping experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with air endorsement.
- Pesticide Applicator's Certificate.
- Working knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems.
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials information Systems (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC (WSBC) safety procedures.
