About the role
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Manager, Operations & Administration, the Wealth Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of exceptional financial planning experiences for members by working collaboratively with a network of advisors and internal partners. This role actively contributes to enhancing the financial wellbeing of members by implementing, managing, and continuously improving process and touchpoints related wealth processing and member wealth service This role serves as a key liaison between the branch network, business & agriculture departments, virtual services and our strategic partner Aviso Wealth, ensuring seamless communication and efficient service delivery. The role reinforces the commitment of the parent company, Assiniboine Credit Union, and AVI/Agency to financial guidance and member-centric support.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist Wealth Advice team with administrative functions related to member experience

Manage third party demands including fund representatives, insurance representatives and wholesaler activities

Create and maintain member files as per compliance guidelines and procedures set forth by regulators

Prepare member meeting file kit based on member meeting; Discovery, Strategy, Implementation & Review

Process and follow up on transactions within member accounts within prescribed limits

Proactively review trades, payments, and changes to circumvent errors leading to higher member satisfaction

Participate in member on-boarding by engaging in member satisfaction calls both external and internal with referral partners through branch network

Conduct follow-up calls with members to continuously improve the overall member experience

Schedule appointments for the Wealth Advice team; make travel arrangements and provide administrative services

Support a proactive, outbound call marketing program geared towards existing members and prospective leads or referrals

Actively engage in member segmentation plan to ensure optimal member journey

Act as liaison between department and strategic partners for investments, specifically Aviso Wealth

Act as liaison between department and strategic partners for insurance
-
Act as an ambassador for ACU’s commitment to financial planning internally and in the community, assisting with the delivery of consistent messages to support ACU’s strategic focus and protect and reinforce the profession and brand

Participate in branch visits with Wealth Advice team member to foster positive relationships and assist in evaluating current referral opportunities

Support the growth and awareness of financial planning internally and within the community

Identify growth opportunity and a continuous improvement culture leveraging efficiencies

Participate in assigned projects, assignments and marketing initiatives that support business growth opportunity
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The Wealth Assistant position requires a post-secondary education in an administration related field plus two to four years job-related experience. or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of investment &/or insurance administration is an asset.
Key Occupational Skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to manage internal and external relationships

Ability to prioritize within a fast-paced working environment, managing varying levels of complex transactions

Knowledge of general investment products and services is an asset

Knowledge of parent company, ACU, products and services is an asset

Previous work experiences in a financial planning environment is preferred

Effective written and oral communication skills are desirous

Strong computer application skills required, Microsoft Office Suite
