Job Summary: Primary point of contact for customers and field technicians, providing initial troubleshooting, coordinating service calls, and ensuring accurate communication and documentation of all service activities. Schedules and dispatches work efficiently while supporting technicians with required job details to deliver timely and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities Provide basic technical support and troubleshoot customer issues via phone. Schedule and dispatch work orders based on priority, location, urgency, and technician skills. Communicate clear job details and updates to field personnel. Track and document service activities, outcomes, and technician notes with accuracy. Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure successful service completion. Support technicians with scheduling, quotes, and job-related coordination. Review timecards and work orders for completeness and accuracy. Act as a customer advocate to resolve escalations and improve service delivery. Assist with service quotes, including sourcing parts and pricing from vendors. Contribute to process improvements and support team knowledge-sharing. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications: 3–5 years of dispatching experience in HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing environments. Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills. Experience with scheduling, national accounts, and customer portals is an asset. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel). Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Knowledge of HVAC repair estimates is an asset.
The salary range is $55,000 to $70,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
