ABOUT THE RO
LEThe Asphalt Plant Operator will be responsible for overseeing the production of asphalt, ensuring proper mixing, quality control, equipment monitoring, safety standards, and process adjustments to meet production goals and specification
s.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPL
ISHOffload hot asphalt oilOperate and run mixing operations on the asphalt plant and ensure material quality and compliance with specificati onsEnsure consistent production to meet daily ord ersPerform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and plants including keeping accurate and thorough records of plant performance and product ionManage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including scaling, ticketing, and assisting in asphalt ord ersComplete daily checklist, journal and repo rtsCollaborate with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispa tchProvide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by addressing issues, questions or concerns in a timely man nerContain all spills promptly and notify appropriate authorities immediately, adhering to established written procedu resDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING
FOREducation: High School Diploma or equiva lentRequired Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in operating and running an asphalt plant, ideally A stecRequired Technical Skills: MS Office Applicat i ons Additional Requireme nts:Previous heavy machinery / equipment experi enceCollaborative team player with effective communication skills in Eng lishAble to manage multiple responsibilities and priori tiesPossesses a good safety mindset. Must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting as the role requires considerable physical acti vityMust be available for weekend work, night shifts, and overtime, with the ability to work in various climate condit ionsSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Client approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit te
sts.
