The ‘Senior System Testing / QA Specialist’ will perform the Quality Assurance Testing Activities by creating and executing the HL7 FHIR resources, Automated test suite for UI, Automated API testing, Functional Testing and Defect Management to ensure the quality of the product. Responsibilities: The Senior System Testing / QA Specialist's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Analyze and understand business and technical requirements, business flows/stories, design documents, implementation guides, and data mapping specifications to develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Execute automated testing across multiple non-production environments supporting the Clinical Data Foundation (CDF) Program and other integrated healthcare systems. Perform testing and validation of HL7 FHIR R4 resources, including Patient, Practitioner, PractitionerRole, Organization, Location, Encounter, and other related resources. Validate FHIR Implementation Guide (IG) profiles, including profile conformance, cardinality constraints, terminology bindings, and data quality requirements. Validate HL7 v2 to FHIR R4 mappings, transformations, and end-to-end data flows to ensure data integrity, interoperability, and compliance with implementation specifications. Analyze, plan, design, build, implement, execute, and maintain automation testing frameworks, automated test cases, and automation scripts for UI and API validation. Utilize automation toolsets to generate, manage, and validate complex test data. Log, track, and manage defects using Jira. Collaborate with the QA Lead and project partners, including Project Managers, IT Leads, and Business Analysts, in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of systems from a quality assurance and testing perspective. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple programs and initiatives, promoting automation best practices, standards, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Provide input to the QA Lead for test effort estimation, and contribute to the development of test strategies, test plans, and test execution reports. Collaborate with business partners to support business acceptance and release readiness activities, assess testing outcomes, identify quality risks, and provide recommendations to support Go/No-Go decisions and production deployments Apply technical knowledge and experience to collaborate effectively with internal and third parties Development, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams. Perform testing within an Agile Scrum delivery model while adhering to DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices. Mentor and train QA team members on automation frameworks, tools, and best practices to support program delivery. Required Skills: Minimum 7 years of proven experience testing large-scale, enterprise-grade backend applications and complex distributed systems through APIs, web services, integrations, and database validation. Proven experience validating end-to-end business workflows across interconnected systems, multiple teams/vendors, and enterprise-scale programs. Advanced hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing scalable data-driven UI automation frameworks from the ground up using Selenium or PlayWright. Proven ability to establish automation architecture, develop reusable test components, and independently maintain, analyze, and debug complex automation suites and scripts. Strong programming proficiency in Java and/or other modern programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript Advanced experience in API and web service testing and automation using RESTful APIs and tools such as ReadyAPI, REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent. Proven expertise validating large-scale backend systems through end-to-end integration testing, API contract validation, database and data reconciliation testing, and complex enterprise integrations across distributed environments Experience with testing system accesses based on authentication/authorization, Certs, SAMLs/JWT tokens Excellent Functional Testing skills including Defect Management in JIRA and debugging test environment and test data issues Health-Care Domain with hands-on experience in FHIR (Most preferred) and/or HL7 v2, v3 (preferred) is strongly preferred. Experience in creating and executing test cases, test scripts for Functional/Systems integration testing and architecture workflows, generating test data to validate the business requirements/User Stories/technical specifications and defect management in JIRA/TestRail in an agile-scrum project delivery model Strong hands-on experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs and SOA-based systems, with a focus on data validation and integration workflows. Extensive experience with RESTful and SOAP web services Hands-on experience with Postman, REST Assured or similar tools Strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication and XML / JSON / messaging principles Expertise in Validating payloads, authentication, headers, status codes and Backend system integration validation Experience with and Database validation (SQL, Oracle, MySQL) and Data integrity verification across systems Experience with Authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT, SAML, certificates) Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and take on technical challenges Experience with Git (source control), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Extensive hands-on experience testing web applications with automation tools and libraries like Selenium, to ensure UI functionality across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes are compliant to Requirements Ability to implement new automation suite from scratch using Java or similar coding skills Ability to maintain, optimize and enhance exiting automation script Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential Desired Skills: Health-Care Domain knowledge with hands-on experience in FHIR (Most preferred) and/or HL7 v2, v3 (preferred) Knowledge and experience with testing HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) messages and data structures and/or HL7 v2, v3 Knowledge and experience with Microsoft ecosystems (e.g., Power BI, Dynamics 365, SharePoint) Requirements Evaluation Criteria: UI Automation Testing: 20 Points Extensive hands-on experience testing web applications with automation tools and libraries like Selenium, to ensure UI functionality across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes are compliant to Requirements Ability to implement new automation suite from scratch using Java or similar coding skills Ability to maintain, optimize and enhance exiting automation script Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential API Testing & Data Validation: 40 Points Strong hands-on experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs and SOA-based systems, with a focus on data validation and integration workflows.
