Teacher Coordinator, Learning Services - Inclusive Learning Community Hub
Program
About the Community Hub Program:
The Community Hub Program is a district initiative that, with parent or
guardian consent, provides students with access to targeted, intensive support
while they continue to participate in meaningful learning environments. The
program is designed to support students who experience significant impacts
related to complex health and developmental conditions and who typically meet
the Ministry of Education and Child Care designation criteria for Categories
A, C, D, or G.
To meet the needs of these students, the program requires regular collaboration with a District Behaviour Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, and Speech-Language Pathologist to assist with the implementation of complex Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans, and Safety Plans. The program may also offer specialized services—such as music therapy—and can host students from other district schools when appropriate.

When requested by the Director or a District Principal, the Coordinator also provides district-wide professional learning and consultative services related to designing and implementing inclusive learning environments. This includes offering guidance on strategies that support the success of diverse learners and collaborating with school teams to enhance instructional practices.
