We are recruiting for a Family Relief Student to provide administrative duties and support projectplanning andimplementationto the Family Relief Program. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 20, 2026, for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.43. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.
Minimumrequirements of this position include:
- Completion of secondary school and enrolled in a post-secondary education in Office Administration or an acceptable equivalent diploma/degree program as determined by the employer.
- Work related experience is an asset
- Demonstrated skills inbuilding relationships, problem solving and decision making,self-awareness,championingchangeand innovation
- Excellent written and verbalcommunicationsskills
- Knowledge andIntermediate skillswith computer operations and software applications
- Current valid driver's licence and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment
- Strong organizational skillsandattention to detail
- Result drivenwith proven research abilities.
Overview of Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Assistingwith special projects as assigned bythe Supports and Services Manager orRespite Coordinator, includingdevelopment, administration,promotionand evaluation
- Providing administrative supportincluding:
- Typing, formatting, distributing,filingandmaintainingprogram/department documentation both electronically and hard copy
- Faxing, scanning, copying, asrequired
- Proofreading of documents,asrequired
- Liaison withinternaldepartmentsand community stakeholdersproviding information/data,asrequiredorrequested
- Record,maintainand file meeting minutes and materials,asrequired
- Creating PowerPoint presentations
- Utilizing Excel through the creation andmaintainingof spreadsheets for collection and tracking data toassistinidentifyingtrendsand summarizing data for the inclusion of reports
- Prepare reports for summaries and trending as needed
- Conductresearch as requested by the Managerand/or Coordinator
- Assistwithsocial media
- Assist the Program in the use of electronic database systems; data entry and produce reports,asrequired
