Position Introduction: Position Title - CNC Programmer This is a full-time position responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision components according to drawings and specifications. The CNC Programmer will work closely with the Production, Operations, and R&D teams to support production requirements, product development, and continuous improvement. Job Specific Accountabilities Review blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements for Katch Kan components. Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to produce accurate parts according to required dimensions and tolerances. Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines and other shop equipment to complete production and custom machining work. Measure and inspect completed parts to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure they meet drawing and quality requirements. Work closely with Operations and Production to prioritize jobs, establish timelines, and meet production requirements. Collaborate with R&D during product development and prototyping, providing practical input on machining, manufacturability, materials, and installation. Support prototype and new product development through CNC machining and, where applicable, 3D printing. Troubleshoot programming, machining, tooling, and equipment issues and make adjustments as required. Other duties as assigned. Recommended Education & Experience • Minimum 2 year diploma in CNC machinist/programming or related technical field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in CN programming and machining. • Oil and gas experience an asset . Preferred Software Experience Office 365 – MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams Site Docs Basecamp Programming softwares: SolidWorks, Auto-CAD Job Hazards: • Daily commuting to and from work. • Regular lifting, twisting, bending. • Exposure to hazards associated with operating and maintaining machinery and equipment, such as moving parts, pinch points, and electrical hazards. • Exposure to high noise levels and vibrations generated by machinery and equipment. • Potential exposure to chemicals and materials used in the manufacturing process, which may pose risks such as chemical burns, respiratory issues, or fire hazards.
