SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Mammoet is seeking a motivated and energetic Heavy-Duty Transport Mechanic to join our Edmonton branch. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, is comfortable with travel, and is eager to continuously learn and grow while performing work safely and efficiently. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Able to diagnose and/or determine technical problems Able to perform regular maintenance and inspections of all equipment within the department Must document all repairs and parts replacement for equipment files Mentor apprentices Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed Carry out all work in accordance with Mammoet HSE/SHE-Q and business policies and procedures, including the use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Other duties as assigned by EMD supervision WHAT YOU’LL NEED Experience Must have sufficient training and experience in repairing of major brands of domestic tractors & trailers in Mammoet’s fleet. Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Vehicle Inspection license Must be familiar with manufacturer diagnostic software an asset, willing to train Familiarity with Schuerle InterCombi / K25 trailers and SPMT an asset, willing to train Based on credentials and experience, individuals may be considered for advancement into higher-level roles within the EMD team, with opportunities to expand technical expertise, leadership contribution, and career development. Candidates must hold a Journeyman trade certificate and have at least 5 years of experience in repairing domestic tractors and trailers. Proficiency with manufacturer diagnostic software and the ability to obtain a Commercial Vehicle Inspection license are required.
