The Audio Visual Technician role will require the candidate to perform installations in addition to troubleshooting and basic configuration and loading of programs onto AV related equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual installation including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers and control systems. Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables Perform complex installations (anchoring, cable mounts, uni-strut) Maintain daily communication with Scheduler, Installation Manager and Account Managers on status of project and task lists Troubleshoot AV issues and provide solutions Willing to work overtime as needed (time in lieu) to meet promises to clients Willing to work out of town as overnight travel will be required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities Must be organized and detail oriented Willing to mentor Junior level installers Education and/or Experience: Minimum of 3 - 5 years of audiovisual integration experience Post-secondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred Crestron/Extron/AMX programming/configuration experience preferred Avixa CTS or CTS-I Certification Industry recognized training: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante Safety: Bondable, clean driving record Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts Trade certifications: WHMIS, fall arrest, scissor lift and other safety Certifications Company Benefits: Join our team and work for a well established family owned business! Requirements
Requires 3-5 years of audiovisual integration experience and a preference for post-secondary education in Electronics or Broadcasting. Candidates should possess industry certifications such as Avixa CTS and safety certifications like WHMIS and fall arrest.
