APPLY TO EDUCATION POSTING NUMBER 4074406 The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of: EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT: CLASSROOM ASSISTANT/PHYSICAL CARE St. Theresa School 1.0 FTE Temporary Effective immediately until approx. the end of November and not to extend beyond June 30, 2027 Mandatory Requirements Two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field such as Developmental Service Worker, Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, or Practical Nursing (formerly RNA diploma). Experience working with students with multiple needs including physical needs, Autism, developmental delays, behavior, and anger management needs. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience working with children with behavior exceptionalities. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Working knowledge and experience of behavior modification strategies. Knowledge of augmentative communication strategies. Experience using technology and digital tools and resources that support the remote learning environment (e.g., Google Classroom, Google Meet) Excellent interpersonal skills; and Good written and oral communication skills. Preferred Requirements Non-violent crisis intervention training would be an asset French language skills would be considered an asset First Aid training Additional Posting Information Current compensation, in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Requirements

A two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field and experience supporting students with multiple needs are required. Candidates should have teamwork skills, knowledge of behavior modification and augmentative communication strategies, experience with digital learning tools, and strong interpersonal and communication skills; crisis intervention training, French, and First Aid are assets.
