Corporate/Commercial Lawyer Northview Law | Toronto, ON Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year Northview Law is seeking an experienced Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to join our growing Toronto team. We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded lawyer with 4–5+ years of post-bar experience who is comfortable handling sophisticated corporate and commercial matters and working directly with clients. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting and negotiating skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage complex transactions from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret complex commercial agreements and contracts. Lead and assist with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Advise on private equity (PE) transactions, joint ventures, partnerships, and corporate reorganizations. Structure and negotiate commercial arrangements while identifying and managing legal and business risks. Conduct and manage due diligence for corporate transactions. Work closely with clients, opposing counsel, financial advisors, and other professionals. Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice that supports clients' business objectives. Manage multiple files and transactions efficiently while meeting deadlines. Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Qualifications & Experience 4–5+ years of post-bar experience in corporate/commercial law. Experience with complex commercial contracts and negotiations. M&A experience is an asset. Experience with private equity, joint ventures, and partnerships is an asset. Strong commercial/business acumen and practical problem-solving skills. Excellent drafting, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to independently manage files while also working effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
