Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG) owns and operates a natural gas transmission and distribution system in west-central British Columbia, and through its subsidiary Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. (PNG(NE)), owns and operates natural gas distribution systems and a gas processing plant in the province’s northeast. This includes approximately 3000 km of distribution mains and services pipelines; and 1200 km of transmission pipelines. It is PNG’s goal to fulfill the energy needs of customers in the safest, most reliable and most efficient manner while achieving high customer satisfaction. PNG has been operating in Northern British Columbia for over 50 years. PNG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TriSummit Utilities Inc.

Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial gas equipment and pressure regulation systems. Perform safety inspections, respond to gas leak emergencies, and provide technical direction to customer service technicians.

The Superintendent leads the Construction & Maintenance department, ensuring safe and efficient execution of distribution and transmission system activities. They are responsible for managing departmental budgets, overseeing maintenance programs, and fostering an engaged, safety-focused workforce.

The Equipment Operator will operate and maintain heavy machinery such as excavators, crawler tractors, and sidebooms to support the construction and maintenance of natural gas transmission systems. Responsibilities also include performing mechanical repairs, maintaining valves, and ensuring safe operations near high-pressure pipelines.

The Measurement Technician oversees measurement facilities, maintains records, and directs measurement personnel to ensure accurate gas transmission and distribution. They are responsible for calibrating equipment, configuring flow computers, and ensuring compliance with Measurement Canada legislation.

The Gas Fitter will repair and maintain residential and commercial gas equipment while ensuring public safety through routine inspections and emergency response. They will also provide technical direction to junior staff and manage gas measurement and pressure regulation systems.
