The Child Care Supervisor is responsible for the daily planning and execution of daycare operations at Panorama Mountain Resort in compliance with provincial licensing. They provide leadership to staff, manage inventory, and ensure the highest standards of safety and care for children aged 18 months to 5 years.

During our winter season, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and execution of all facets of the daycare facility with the help of the manager at Panorama Mountain Resort. You will help oversee the daycare in full compliance with provincial licensing requirements. Essential Functions: Help develop & execute programs for our Wee Wascals Childcare Train all front-line staff, ensuring the day-to-day operation is following licensing requirements. Delivering the highest reasonable degree of care, safety, and guest experience to Panorama’s youngsters Provide leadership, guidance, and departmental support to staff. Create friendly & positive relations amongst the daycare team and guests. Accountable for dept. area daily maintenance, equipment & amenities Maintain optimum levels of inventory & supplies such as craft supplies & snack items etc. Assist Mountain Sports Director with other tasks as required. Experience/Requirements: Responsible for all childcare participants as per Panorama and Ministry of Health (children ages 18 months to 5 years). Applicants with Early Childhood Education certificate will get first consideration. Must possess knowledge regarding children interaction & planned activities. Previous experience working in a childcare facility/center an asset. Must have previous supervisory experience. Must have previous experience facilitating/leading children's programs and activities. Maintain a professional attitude in all aspects of your job. Provide a minimum of 3 employer references – job related and proof of good character. Current Standard First Aid & Adult/Infant CPR preferred. Must pass Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Must have taken 20hr. educational course relevant to child & youth development (further details can be provided) Must meet the required criteria of the B.C. Child Care Licensing Regulation Act "responsible adult" sector. Must provide a statement signed by a medical practitioner indicating you are physically and mentally capable of working in a childcare facility. Must work well in a fast paced & often stressful atmosphere. Must be physically fit & able to lift children ages 1 to age 3.

Requirements

Candidates must have previous supervisory experience and experience leading children's programs, with an Early Childhood Education certificate preferred. Applicants must pass a criminal record check, hold valid First Aid/CPR certification, and meet the 'responsible adult' criteria under B.C. regulations.
