Park Landscaping Ltd. is looking for 34 full-time General Construction Labourers to join our team for the 2027 season (Seasonal full-time position for 9 month)! Park Landscaping is a landscaping and construction company. We provide services in design, construction and maintenance of residential and commercial exterior construction projects. Our large-scale construction projects include storm ponds, soil cell storm water management, boulevards, and more. Further, our business consists of constructing paving stone patios, decks, retaining walls, swimming pools, fences, water features, and synthetic turf solutions. As a General Construction Labourer reliable transportation is required to access job sites in the Edmonton and surrounding areas. Our workshop and yard are located at 20924, 100 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 5X8. Job Duties As a General Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for the following duties: * Assist with construction activities under the direction and supervision of a foreperson. * Assist in the construction of decks, fences, patios and retaining wall projects, for example, assist mixing concrete, laying bricks, assisting carpenters and other trades. * Assist in the construction of water feature and pond projects, for example, excavating soil, installing rock and liners. * Assist in the construction of large and small-scale synthetic turf projects, for example, operating tampers, grading, installing turf. * Assist in the construction of Residential and Commercial exterior construction and landscaping projects, for example, installing hardscapes such as patios and retaining walls, and conducting general maintenance, and project site clean ups. * Work with teams of employees or contractors * Maintain work records and logs. * Ability to drive a truck and trailer to transport equipment, tools, and materials to/from job sites. * Transport, un-load, and prepare project materials. * Operate, maintain, and repair construction and maintenance equipment. This will include small engine equipment and powered-mobile equipment. * Complete safety paperwork as required by the company Health and Safety policy. Skills Required If you possess the following skills, you will be a great fit as a General Construction Labourer: * Previous experience as a construction labourer is required. * Proven ability to independently operate and maintain construction equipment safely and efficiently. * Proven ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of a team. * English oral communication skills. * Attention to detail and reliability in recording and documenting. * Ability to use various mobile apps for time and record keeping. * Valid class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and insurance experience letter. * Physically able to lift heavy items. Work Conditions and Capabilities Additional requirements and working conditions of this position include: * Shift start times vary between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM depending on project requirements * Workday end at the project site between 12pm and 10pm * Reliable source of transportation. * Hand-eye coordination. * Ability to distinguish between colours. * Heavy lifting. * Kneeling, bending, crouching. * Tight deadlines. * Written detailed recording, reading maps. * Outdoor in hot/cold temperatures, including wind and snow. * Teamwork. * Walking and standing for extended periods. * Attention to detail. * Physically demanding. * Manual dexterity. * Work under pressure. * Fast-paced environment. Benefits Wages as a General Construction Labourer are $28.00 hourly for full-time 30 to 40 hours per week under a 9 month contract. Overtime hours will be banked and managed in accordance with a formal overtime agreement established with Park Landscaping.
