Roles and Responsibilities Project Planning & End-to-End Delivery Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of complex DevOps initiatives, from mobilization and scope definition through implementation, rollout, stabilization, and handoff. Create and maintain an integrated delivery plan covering: Squad deliverables Cross-team dependencies Milestones and timelines Environment readiness Testing and approvals Communications Rollout activities Operational readiness Identify and manage the critical path, ensuring dependencies and deliverables remain aligned with overall project objectives. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate delivery across one or more DevOps squads and enterprise partner teams, including: Infrastructure Cloud Security ServiceNow Application teams Data teams Platform teams Quality Engineering Production Support Work closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, Engineers, Quality Engineers, Security teams, and business/technology stakeholders to clarify: Business and technical outcomes Roles and responsibilities Delivery sequencing Acceptance criteria Dependencies and constraints Governance & Delivery Management Establish appropriate governance structures, meeting cadences, decision-making paths, delivery controls, and escalation mechanisms. Manage and maintain: Scope Schedule Resources Risks Issues Assumptions Dependencies Decisions Changes Ensure ownership, accountability, and target dates remain clearly defined. Drive action closure and proactively address delivery gaps, conflicting priorities, resource constraints, access issues, environment blockers, data-quality concerns, and integration dependencies. Testing, Release & Operational Readiness Coordinate test planning, user acceptance testing, production-readiness reviews, implementation activities, and post-implementation validation. Manage required evidence, approvals, and sign-offs for releases and implementations. Coordinate releases across Development, Stage, and Production environments. Ensure operational ownership, support processes, documentation, and handoff activities are completed successfully. Stakeholder Management & Communication Prepare concise, decision-focused status reports for program and DevOps leadership covering: Accomplishments Upcoming milestones Delivery forecast Dependencies Risks and issues Decisions required Recovery actions Coordinate stakeholder communications, readiness activities, demonstrations, information sessions, support planning, and adoption activities. Translate complex technical delivery details into clear business impacts, risks, and decision points. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Ensure deliverables, processes, decisions, and operational ownership are properly documented and transitioned to the appropriate teams. Apply lessons learned and continuous-improvement practices to: Improve delivery predictability Reduce manual effort Strengthen delivery processes Reduce recurring operational risks What You Need to Succeed Project & Delivery Management Strong project-management experience delivering complex technology initiatives involving multiple squads, platforms, and enterprise partner teams. Demonstrated experience working on initiatives involving: DevOps Software delivery Developer platforms CI/CD Security controls Source-code management Engineering enablement Ability to build integrated plans, identify the true critical path, manage interdependent deliverables, and hold multiple teams accountable for commitments. DevOps & Software Delivery Knowledge Practical understanding of the software development and delivery lifecycle. Understanding of the relationship between: Source-code repositories Build pipelines Security scanning Deployment orchestration Environments Approvals Production support Ability to work effectively with both technical specialists and business stakeholders. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management Excellent risk, issue, dependency, and change-management skills. Sound judgment regarding when to: Resolve issues independently Escalate risks Engage stakeholders Seek leadership decisions Strong ability to proactively identify blockers and drive them to resolution. Leadership & Communication Excellent facilitation, written communication, organization, and follow-through. Confidence working with senior leaders, technical specialists, and cross-functional teams. Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment where delivery depends on teams that may not report directly to the Project Manager. Self-directed, pragmatic, and outcome-focused. Comfortable bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous or evolving initiatives. Required Experience DevOps Tools & Platforms Experience with standard DevOps tools, practices, and Enterprise Pipeline environments is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of tools and platforms such as: Bitbucket / GitHub Jenkins CDD Jira Confluence ServiceNow Checkmarx One Snyk Kosli Grafana Tableau Cloud platforms Infrastructure and deployment technologies Security & Compliance Experience coordinating security-control implementation and related delivery activities. Experience with: Vulnerability-management workflows Security exceptions Compliance evidence Release gating Production-readiness activities Security approvals and controls Data & Application Management Experience working with application inventories and application portfolio identifiers. Familiarity with: Repository metadata Data reconciliation Database updates Dashboards ETL processes Data-quality remediation Release & Environment Management Experience supporting releases across Dev, Stage, and Production environments. Experience coordinating: Technical testing Business validation Implementation Production deployment Post-implementation verification Experience managing dependencies and readiness across multiple technical teams. Project Management & Agile Tools Experience with Jira and/or Planview AgilePlace. Project-management certification or formal Agile delivery training is an asset; however, demonstrated delivery experience is more important than certification alone.
