Duties: * Responsible for leading projects involving municipal water and wastewater treatment, pumping and storage facilities. * Support business development initiatives in the region and contribute to the preparation of engineering proposals. * Oversee the preparation of engineering reports, calculations, specifications, process narrative, drawings, permit / approvals applications, and operations manuals, including application of P.Eng. seal, for the process mechanical discipline. * Manage and coordinate with interdisciplinary design teams. * Mentor and develop junior technical engineering staff. * Assist project manager with project planning and delivery process. * Ensure the highest standards of quality and prompt delivery of project outputs to satisfy the client's requirements. * Act as coordination liaison between the project teams and different internal stakeholders, ensuring good communication and collaboration. * Contribute to a team environment that supports RVA’s core values. * Other duties as assigned and appropriate for this position. Qualifications: Our ideal candidate must have: * Professional Engineering designation in NL, NS or NB. * 7-9+ years of demonstrated industry knowledge and experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities projects including water pumping stations, sewage pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, etc. * Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills * Familiar with local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvals. * Be a team builder with flexibility to be able to adjust to changing priorities * Municipal and Private client contacts and relationships, and experience in engineering consultant roles are an asset Your better starts here We don’t settle for less, and neither should you.
