Inspect, test, adjust, repair, and replace components in commercial transport truck and truck-trailer systems, including diagnosing faults and testing motors in operation. Perform scheduled maintenance, confirm repair decisions with a supervisor, adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications, and advise customers about completed work and future repair needs.

Move tools, equipment, and materials; hold stakes during surveying activities; and signal safety procedures to workers and the public. Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, and clean machines and nearby work areas.

Drive straight or articulated trucks, individually as part of a two-person team or convoy, to transport goods and materials on national and international routes. Inspect and oversee vehicle condition and equipment, and record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
