About the role
Do you want to use your investigative skills to protect the public and uphold the integrity of the financial sector? At the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), you will participate in major investigations where your rigor, curiosity, and analytical skills will make all the difference.
Your role: Under the direction of the Forensic Information Technology and Operations Support team, the incumbent contributes to digital evidence investigation activities. They act as a specialist in the search, preservation, and analysis of electronic evidence, while supporting investigators and litigators in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Search, capture and preserve digital evidence relevant to an investigation
- Analyze digital evidence according to legal parameters
- Assist investigators and litigants in identifying digital evidence and ensuring its legal value
- Act as a resource person for the Authority's staff on any matter related to digital evidence
- Collaborate with the team of investigators in conducting cyber investigations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods and tools related to digital investigations
- Monitor best practices in technological investigation and cyber investigation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in administration, law or a discipline deemed relevant to the job
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or cyber investigation (important asset)
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in investigative techniques or related field
- Good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
- Excellent analytical, synthesis and decision-making skills
- Ability to testify in court
- Excellent writing skills, precise, structured and adapted to the investigation context
Salary: $65,722 - $131,444
