The successful candidate will provide support to our underwriters through collaboration and performing a variety of administrative duties associated with the underwriting function. HOW YOU WILL CREATE IMPACT: * Completing the entry of new business, endorsements and renewals into the system and issuing policies. * Training and mentoring less experienced staff, as well as assisting team lead or manager with workflow and creation of a team-oriented approach to meeting Regional and * Corporate goals. * Ordering risk inspections for underwriters, as requested. * Preparing and maintaining basic file set up documents subject to the underwriter’s approval. * Obtaining additional information from Brokers as required by the Underwriter. TO JOIN OUR TEAM: * Minimum 2–3 years insurance industry experience, preferably commercial insurance. * High School Diploma required. * Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses an asset. * This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members. Salary information Expected salary range $43,550 to $72,583 Salary placement The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education. Incentive/Variable pay Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
