Responsibilities: Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to all guests, ensuring a positive and memorable dining experience. Greet guests, take orders, and offer menu recommendations based on their preferences and dietary restrictions. Efficiently take and accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders. Handle special requests or modifications with professionalism and accuracy. Familiarize yourself with our menu offerings, including food items, cocktails, wines, and other beverages. Provide detailed descriptions and recommendations to guests. Serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. Process guest payments accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions, credit card payments, and other forms of payment securely and in accordance with established procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including bar stations, service areas, and dining sections. Identify opportunities to upsell menu items and promote special offers or seasonal features. Provide information about additional products, such as wine pairings or dessert options, to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue. Adhere to all applicable food safety and alcohol service regulations, including age verification and responsible alcohol service. Requirements: Minimum 1 Year of prior experience as a server Valid Smart Serve Certificate Capable of using POS (Point of Sale) machine Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Familiarity with food and beverage services. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency Meticulous attention to detail in taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and handling cash transactions Nice to Have: Basic knowledge of wine, including common varieties and appropriate food pairings.​ Compensation: $18/hr-$22/hr, depending on your experience and skill level Schedule: Flexible shifts available – 4, 8, 10, or 12 hours Morning and evening shifts Monday to Friday & weekend availability required Work Location : Ottawa Join us and work with one of our top clients while taking your career to the next level.
