What You’ll Do: General Helper is a production worker within our steel manufacturing facility who supports the wider site operations and senior Machine Operators producing high quality wire and wire products. The role reports to the Production Managers or designate and requires membership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213. Examples of Duties Operation of production machinery Operation of an overhead crane and forklift Assisting senior Machine Operators at assigned workstations (i.e. lifting/moving product up to 50 lbs.) This role is a stepping stone to a Machine Operator with a base pay of $31.34/hr. Hours of Work 2 weeks rotation: Week 1 & 2: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00AM -2:30PM Week 3 & 4: Night Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:30PM-10:30PM Week 5 & 6: Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday, 10:30pm – 6:00AM Why Tree Island? Requirements

Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor in an industrial setting. Previous manufacturing, forklift, or overhead crane experience is considered an asset, and the ability to follow safety protocols is mandatory.
