Postdoctoral Researcher – XLZD experiment

On-site · Vancouver

The researcher will lead sensitivity studies for 0νββ searches and contribute to the development of the XLZD simulation framework. Responsibilities include performing statistical analyses, supporting detector R&D, and mentoring students.

Mechanical Technician - Cryogenics

On-site · Vancouver

The Mechanical Technician will provide expert technical support and coordinate complex maintenance and upgrades for cryogenic systems at the TRIUMF facility. They are also responsible for mentoring junior staff and managing technical documentation for various research projects.

Journeyperson Electrician

On-site · Vancouver

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex high- and low-voltage electrical systems supporting critical research infrastructure. Supervise regulated electrical work and provide mentorship to apprentices and technicians in compliance with safety regulations.

Mechanical Engineering Technologist

On-site · Vancouver

Lead the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of complex mechanical systems, including HVAC and nuclear ventilation. Coordinate maintenance tasks, develop preventative programs, and oversee external contractors and technical staff.

Instrumentation Technician

Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of complex electronic and electromechanical systems for ion sources and beam transport. This includes performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and maintaining detailed technical records.

Ventilation Technician

The technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of nuclear ventilation, heating, and compressed air systems. They will contribute to design improvements and provide operational instruction to users of the nuclear ventilation system.

Control System Engineer

Design, implement, and maintain hardware and software solutions for accelerator control systems, including data acquisition and motion control. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support custom instrumentation and perform system diagnostics using test and measurement equipment.

ARIEL Experiment Operations Physicist

The Physicist will plan and set up experiments within the nuclear physics research program while managing and troubleshooting various detectors and data acquisition systems. They will also liaise with external users, provide technical training, and manage the budget for experimental tools and spare parts.
