YWCA Hamilton is a women-led, service organization supporting individuals through health and wellness programs for women, families, seniors and people with special needs. We advocate for the improved status of women locally and through our affiliation with YWCA Canada and the World YWCA.

Provide direct residential and community-based support to two women with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and complex behavioural needs, promoting their safety, well-being, independence, and social inclusion. Assist with daily living, medication, appointments, household tasks, activities, documentation, and coordination with residents, families, colleagues, and community agencies.

Lead daily kitchen operations and food preparation for the café, catering services, and weekend transitional housing food service, ensuring food quality, safety, and inventory control. Supervise and train kitchen staff, plan menus and recipes, maintain equipment, and support the Chef Manager as needed.

Provide on-site and community-based nursing care to women and gender-diverse people accessing YWCA housing programs, including assessments, testing, treatment support, referrals, and coordinated care planning. Develop and deliver accessible health education, support harm reduction and recovery goals, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with clients, staff, and community partners to promote safety and well-being.

The Early Childhood Assistant creates a stimulating and nurturing environment while ensuring the safety and development of children through direct supervision and age-appropriate programming. They also maintain accurate documentation, communicate professionally with families, and support the overall operations of the classroom.
