Job summary
24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is looking for Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioners (current and in good standing) to work at a large mine in the Bathurst Inlet region of Nunavut. The NP would be joining a team of medical professionals including Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics, and Primary Care Paramedics. Our occupational health clinic is supported remotely by a team of ER physicians. Above industry standard compensation, fully covered flights to and from site, 24/7 access to on-call doctors for support, multiple project locations, and a COR Certified safety program are just some reasons to join the 24/7 OEMS team. The Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioner will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director. The NP will work as part of the on-site clinical team and have access to our 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine and or the provision of advanced care in a remote setting would be an asset. The NP will be expected to: * Provide on-site emergency / primary and occupational health services * Assist with occupational injury / illness case management. * Review pre-employment medical examinations. * Provide occupational health surveillance services: audiometric, spirometry and respiratory fit testing. * Provide drug and alcohol testing services. Qualifications: * Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required) * Current CANNN registration in good standing (Required) * ACLS * BLS * TNCC (preferred) Compensation and Benefits: * Hourly rate is equivalent of $1020 per 12-hour day (plus 4% in lieu of vacation) * Supplemental overtime and call-back rates * Flights and accommodations to and from site are provided * Funding for required certifications (I.e. Requirements
Must be a Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioner in good standing with current CANNN registration. Required certifications include ACLS and BLS, with TNCC preferred.
