CAD Technician (Fusion 360) — Van & Commercial Vehicle Upfitting 2Pines Upfitters (Paved to Pines) — Prince Albert, SK On-site preferred (hybrid possible) | Full-time, blended role About Us 2Pines Upfitters designs and builds custom campervan conversions and commercial vehicle upfits. From recreational RVs to purpose-built work vans, we take complex builds from concept to completed vehicle, and we practice lean manufacturing principles across the shop. About the Role We're hiring a proficient CAD Technician to own our design and assembly modeling work in Fusion 360. You'll work on complicated assemblies for van conversion systems: cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components, and you'll understand how components and assemblies work together in the real world, including product testing and validation. This is intentionally a blended role with a lot of runway. CAD alone isn't full-time work here, so the right person will step into other high-impact areas: service writing, hands-on system assembly, and process improvement across our entire operation. If you like variety and want to shape how a growing shop runs, this is that job. What You'll Do - Model and manage complex multi-component assemblies in Fusion 360 - Ensure components, systems, and assemblies integrate correctly, including testing - Support production with accurate drawings, BOMs, and documentation - Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives - Blend into service writing, full system assemblies, and process improvement as capacity allows Must-Haves - Proficiency with Fusion 360 (SolidWorks experience considered; Fusion 360 is our platform) - Proven experience with complicated assemblies and design-for-manufacturing thinking - Extreme attention to detail - Self-sufficient and self-starting; able to manage your own workload - Reliable at meeting operating timelines and production deadlines - Strong communication and documentation habits Nice-to-Haves - RV, campervan, or custom manufacturing experience - Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma background - Hands-on mechanical aptitude (12V electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, or systems assembly) - Interest in learning van conversions end to end Work Setup On-site strongly preferred, we want our engineers / designers to be on the Gemba to “go & see” problems; hybrid at most. Remote possible for the right candidate, but the biggest opportunities in this role, assembly work, service writing, and process improvement, happen on the shop floor. How to Apply Send your resume and a portfolio or examples of assembly/design work in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks to [email protected].
