We’re Hiring: Intermediate Architectural Technologist 📍 Greater Toronto Area, Ontario 🏢 6ixDesign Architects & Engineering Inc. 💼 Full-Time 6ixDesign Architects & Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a technically strong and highly organized professional with hands-on experience in Design Development (DD), Construction Documentation (CD), Revit, BIM coordination, and Ontario Building Code compliance. The successful candidate will contribute to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, and development projects. What We’re Looking For Recognized university or college Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Science, Architectural Technology, or equivalent 5–8 years of progressive architectural experience Registration with the OAA considered an asset Experience across PD, DD, CD, and CA phases, with preference for strong DD and CD experience Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, National Building Code of Canada, and AODA Strong practical proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, including 2D and 3D documentation Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants and contractors with limited supervision Experience applying and maintaining BIM standards and workflows Proficiency in creating and managing Revit families, templates, parameters, and project standards Experience with Dynamo, C#, and/or Python considered an asset Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to assist with mentoring junior staff and improving overall technical proficiency within the office What You’ll Do Prepare and coordinate architectural drawing packages through DD, permit, tender, and CD phases Develop detailed and constructible architectural solutions Coordinate architectural models and drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, landscape, and other consultants Review and resolve multidisciplinary coordination issues Apply the OBC, NBC, AODA, and applicable standards to project documentation Support BIM standards, model quality control, Revit content development, and digital workflows Assist with RFIs, shop drawings, site reviews, deficiency documentation, and CA activities Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff Contribute to the continuous improvement of office standards, templates, workflows, and quality-control processes Why Join 6ixDesign?
