Job summary
* Stocking and Replenishing: Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked with fresh produce throughout the day. Refill produce as necessary and rotate items based on sell-by dates. * Quality Control: Inspect produce for quality and freshness. Remove damaged, expired, or unappealing items to maintain high standards. * Customer Service: Assist customers with locating items, providing information about products, and answering any produce-related questions. Offer excellent customer service at all times. * Merchandising: Arrange produce displays to be visually appealing and easy to navigate. Ensure signage and pricing are accurate and visible. * Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the produce section clean and organized, ensuring that the work area is free of debris. Maintain cleanliness standards for shelves, tables, and floors. * Receiving Deliveries: Assist in receiving and organizing incoming produce shipments. Properly store items in the backroom or cooler to preserve freshness. * Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling, cleanliness, and proper storage of produce items. * Other duties as required
